Geary Triples Up

Jim Geary pushed preflop and got called by Ming Reslock and Ed Smith, who both checked the flop of {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

Smith check-called the {10-Spades} on the turn and both players checked the {Q-Clubs} on the river. Reslock showed bottom two pair and Smith mucked. Geary then revealed his hand and showed ace king for Broadway, scooping the pot.

Deeb Stayin' Alive

Thang Luu raised from under the gun and action folded around to Freddy Deeb in the small blind. He thought about his decision with a very short stack and eventually decided to stick it in. Luu made the call.

Showdown
Deeb: {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}
Luu: {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {J-Spades}

The flop came down {9-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {2-Diamonds}. The turn fell the {7-Spades} and Deeb locked up a low. The river was the {10-Spades}. Luu's ace-king high was good enough for the high with Deeb taking the low to stay alive and get a few thousand more chips. He now has around 75,000.

Unlucky Freddy

Ming "Joy" Reslock raised preflop and Freddy Deeb made the call. The flop came down {K-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {3-Spades} and Reslock fired. Deeb raised and she called.

The turn brought the {10-Spades}. A check from Reslock was followed by a bet from Deeb. Reslock called. Both players then checked after the {Q-Spades} hit the felt on the river.

"Flush." announced Reslock as she tabled {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {9-Spades} {5-Spades}. Deeb studied the hand and then mucked his holding, dropping to 225,000. Reslock increased to 400,000.

Jim Geary Gets Quartered

In a heads-up pot with Robert Price, Geary bet a flop of {4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and got a call. He was then raised after betting the {J-Hearts} on the turn.

After calling all in, Geary showed {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Spades} while Price also showed an ace 3 along with two hearts. When a blank hit the river, Price took the high with a flush and chopped the low, quartering Geary who is now the short stack.

Sebastian Ruthenberg - 10th Place
Sebastian Ruthenberg was all in preflop for his last 40,000 chips. Jim Geary called and the two blinds called, Jordan Rich in the small blind and Pascal Leyo in the big blind.

The three players checked all the way until the river on a board of {10-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}. Rich checked the river followed by Leyo. Geary opted to bet and only Rich called.

For the side pot, Geary showed {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. Rich showed {J-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {7-Hearts}. Geary took the high while Rich took the low. Freddy Gets Irritated

A little steamy in here
A little steamy in here
From under the gun, Pascal Leyo limped. Robert Price raised behind him and Freddy Deeb called. Thang Luu called from later position as well and then when action got back to Leyo, he called.

The flop came down {10-Clubs} {7-Spades} {3-Diamonds}. Leyo checked and Price bet out. Deeb called and then Luu raised. Leyo tanked for a couple minutes and then folded. Price called the raise as did Deeb.

The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} and everyone checked. After the river came the {J-Diamonds}, Price led with a bet and only Deeb called.

"Ship it!" exclaimed Price as he tabled {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {2-Clubs}. Deeb didn't muck right away, but held his cards as he studied the board. The dealer scooped up the community cards and began to muck them, but Deeb insisted he put them back because he wanted to study them to see how everyone played the hand. The floor staff corrected the dealer and made him put the cards back on the felt.

When he did so, Jordan Rich chimed in, "Just muck already."

"I don't want to muck." said Deeb. Another few seconds went by and then Freddy released his hand and moved on.
