Annie Duke Moving Up

Annie Duke was all in preflop against a few other players that were still active in the hand. She began the hand with 8,000 chips.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {5-Hearts} and Morten Holm bet. Two players folded before Sven Amtzen made the call.

The turn was the {3-Spades} and both active remaining players checked. The {5-Spades} was the river card and both players checked again.

Holm showed {K-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {10-Spades} {7-Diamonds}, Amtzen showed {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {3-Clubs}, and Duke showed {A-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {2-Diamonds}.

The side pot was split between Holm and Amtzen. Holm won the high half with two pair, queens and sevens. Amtzen won the low half.

Duke then scooped the low half of the main pot with the nut low, while Holm took the high half of the main with his two pair. Duke is now up to 20,000 chips.
