Sir, You Can't Come In

A tall character dressed is black pants and a black sweatshirt wandered in the back way behind the media desk in attempt to get close to the final table. Security stopped the individual and told him that he couldn't enter this way. The person was informed he had to walk around, but just stood there looking confused.

"Sir, you can't go in this way, you need to go around." the security guard repeated. Finally, the tournament staff waved the security guard off and let the individual come in to shake hands and congratulate the players that have made it this far. He also wished them luck.

The person... well, it was none other than 11-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth.

Chop, Chop, Chop

It seems as if every time someone is on the brink of being eliminated from the tournament, they pull a high or a low and are able to rake in half of the pot to stay alive. Just a moment ago, Mike Wattel committed most of his chips to a hand, but ended up chopping with Farzad Rouhani. The short stacks just don't want to leave and are fighting for every last bit of chips they can grab.

A Small One for Wattel

Mike Wattel (X)(X){7-Spades} {9-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {8-Spades}
Farzad Rouhani (X)(X) {J-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {6-Hearts}

Mike Wattel brought it in and Farzad Rouhani called. Both players checked fourth and fifth streets. Rouhani checked sixth, Wattel bet and Rouhani folded. Wattel took it down.

Wattel Ducks Out on Sixth

Lisandro: (X-X) {4-Spades} {Q-Hearts}-FOLD
Wattel: (X-X) {5-Spades} {A-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {J-Spades}-FOLD
Rouhani: (X-X) {K-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}

Jeff Lisandro brought in and then Mike Wattel completed. Farzad Rouhani made the call as did Lisandro. Wattel led the betting on fourth street and only Rouhani came along for the ride down fifth street. On fifth, Wattl bet again and Rouhani called. On sixth, Wattel let off the gas and checked. Rouhani saw this as an opportunity and bet. Wattel folded and Rouhani gathered in the pot.

Jeff's Sixes are Good

Jeff Lisandro (X)(X) {7-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {A-Clubs} (X)
Farzad Rouhani (X)(X) {9-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {5-Clubs} (X)

Lisandro brought it in and Rouhani called. Rouhani check-called a bet from Lisandro on fourth street before they checked down the next three streets.

Lisandro revealed nothing more than a pair of sixes for high. Neither player made a low and Lisandro took it down.

Rouhani Takes it Down with Deuces

Farzad Rouhani (X)(X) {2-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {9-Hearts} (X)
Jeff Lisandro (X)(X) {A-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {10-Hearts} (X)
Mike Wattel (X)(X) {6-Clubs} {9-Spades}

Rouhani brought it in, Lisandro completed, Wattel called and Rouhani called. Lisandro led out on fourth street, Wattel folded and Rouhani called. Rouhani made an open pair of deuces on fifth and bet out, Lisandro making the call. Same story on sixth-- Rouhani led and Lisandro called. Both players checked on sixth street.

Rouhani turned over {Q-?} {7-?} {3-?} for nothing more than the pair of deuces. Lisandro mucked and Rouhani won the pot.
