Klodnicki Knocked Back

Stud

Chris Klodnicki completed with the {A-Diamonds}, then Jon Turner raised him with the {3-Hearts} showing, Klodnicki called. Klodnicki then check-called fourth street, where he picked up the {J-Clubs} and Turner the {7-Hearts}.

On fifth, Klodnicki was dealt the {2-Spades} and Turner the {J-Clubs}. Klodnicki checked, Turner bet, and Klodnicki went into the tank. Finally he folded, and Turner showed his hole cards: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. He'd had a pair of jacks and a heart flush draw.

That hand knocks Klodnicki down to a precarious 55,000.

Dario Alioto - 8th Place
Stud

When checked to by Jon Turner, Dario Alioto led the betting through sixth street, at which point Turner check-raised him and Alioto called with the last of his chips.

Alioto ({7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}){6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Turner ({9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}){6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

Both had begun with pairs in the hole, Alioto had made two pair by fifth, but Turner had trips on fourth.

Alioto picked up an unhelpful {J-Diamonds} on the end, and he's out in 8th. Turner is now up to 675,000.

They Call Him "Back-to-Back"

Stud

Sergey Altbregin brought it in with the {2-Diamonds}, Layne Flack completed with the {9-Clubs} showing, and Altbringen called. Flack bet fourth, and Altbregin called, and when Flack bet fifth he was all in when his opponent again called him. When all the cards were out, here's what they had:

Flack ({9-Spades}{6-Hearts}){9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}({Q-Diamonds})
Albregin ({A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}){2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}({4-Clubs})

Flack doubles up again, this time to 135,000.

Flack Doubles Through Alioto

Stud

Layne Flack, down to approximately 30,000, completed, Alioto raised, and Flack was all in on third street. Their ultimate hands:

Flack ({10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}){9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}({2-Clubs})
Alioto ({A-Clubs}{7-Spades}){K-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}({K-Clubs})

Flack's two pair helped him double back to 65,000.

Razz

Jimmy Fricke was all in on fifth street against Jerrod Ankenman. Fricke completed the bet on third and then Ankenman raised. Fricke called the raise as well as bets on fourth and fifth. By calling the bet on fifth, Fricke was all in.

Fricke: ({A-?} {5-?}) {6-?} {7-?} {K-?} {J-?} {5-?}
Ankenman: ({8-?} {4-?}) {3-?} {4-?} {J-?} {A-?} {7-?}

Ankenman's eight-seven low was good enough to take the pot and bust Fricke from the tournament just one spot out of the official final table. Fricke earned over $18,000 for his efforts.
