Graham Faces Uphill Battle

Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Matt Graham was involved in a couple of wild hands at the end of the previous level, leaving himself very short as Level 3 begins.

On the first, the flop had come {J-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, a short-stacked player pushed all in for 1,500, a second player reraised all in for 16,950, and Graham called with almost all of his chips. The first player showed {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, the second {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} (top set), and Graham {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}. The turn was the {K-Clubs} and the river the {10-Diamonds}, and Graham was down to just 1,100.

On the next hand, a player under the gun raised to 400, and it folded around to Graham in the big blind who reraised all in. His opponent called, showing {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} against Graham's {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. The flop was terrible for Graham -- {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades} -- and the {5-Clubs} on the turn didn't help him. But the {6-Diamonds} came on the river meaning he'd made a better full house. Still, Graham returns to the third level with a short stack of less than 3,000.
