Hecht Bounced by Pham

Hoai Pham is willing to get it in and gamble frequently and just drew out against Daniel Hecht, eliminating him from the tournament.

Hecht opened to 4,800 from under the gun and action folded to a player in the small blind who called. Pham called as well from the big blind and the three took a flop of {2-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{J-Spades}.

The player in the small blind led for 6,500 and Pham flatted. Hecht then moved all-in for 19,500 more and the small blind folded to Pham who went into the tank. He cut out enough chips to call, paused momentarily then finally slid them in the middle.

Jong Kim Sent Packing

Jong Kim raised to 5,000 under the gun and was called by Yuta Motoyama. The two saw a flop of {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Kim bet out 12,000.

Motoyama reraised enough to put Kim, who had 16,600 remaining, all in. Kim asked for time and went into the tank for a few minutes before opting to fold.

A few hands later, Kim found himself all in preflop with {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} against David Patents {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. After the board ran out {7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, Kim made his exit from the tournament.

Big Pot for Hollinger

Matt Holinger just took a huge pot off of John Hoffman in the Amazon Room.

Two players limped and action folded to Hoffman in the small blind who raised to more than 4,000 chips. Hollinger called in the small blind and so too did the limpers.

The flop fell {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Hoffman led for 15,000. Hollinger shoved all in and the action folded back to Hoffman who elected to make the call tabling {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. His aces were no match for Hoffmans {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} however.

Hoffman stood from his chair as the {6-Clubs} came on the turn, nervous because he was the player at risk. With his hands on his head he breathed a sigh of relief and let out a yell when the {Q-Spades} was dealt on the river, giving him the winning hand.

Hoffman should be excited, his stack now towers over 90,000 chips. Hollinger is in deep trouble though, sitting with only 5,000 chips.

Orly Reyes Eliminated

Over at Table 365, Orly Reyes entered the pot and had Jeff Bennett shove all in from the cutoff position. After both blinds folded, Reyes made the call and the two flipped over their cards:

Reyes: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Bennett: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board came down {2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Bennett was fortunate enough to pair his ten, which sent Reyes packing.

Mettlen Doubles Through Sperrazza

Vincent Mettlen just doubled through Sam Sperrazza over on Table 365.

The board read {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} when Mettlen checked to Sperrazza who bet 4,500 into a raised pot. Mettlen immediately check-raised all-in and Sperrazza made the call.

Mettlen: {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Sperrazza: {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Sperrazza's hand didn't improve with the {A-Spades} on the turn or the {5-Spades} on the river, and Mettlen doubled to 40,000 chips. Sperrazza is still healthy though with 80,000 chips to his name.
