No one will be more disappointed to hear about David Baker's elimination than his girlfriend Maria "maridu" Mayrinck. Although Maridu was on the rail for the first three days of the tournament as Baker built his stack, her professional obligations as a member of Team PokerStars Pro Brazil required her to fly down to Lima, Peru yesterday to play in the Latin American Poker Tour event there that starts tomorrow.
Maridu has been railing Baker long-distance by following along on PokerNews all day and tells us that she couldn't be prouder of her man.
"He's my hero," she said. "I'm crying, I'm so proud!"

Michael Mizrachi opens with a raise to 145,000 and play folds to David Baker in the small blind who moves all in. Mizrachi insta-calls and the crowd are on their feet!

Vladimir Schmelev raises to 170,000 from middle position and play folds to Daniel Alaei who looks visibly frustrated as he looks down at his short stack. He thinks for several moments and surveys the stacks of the entire table before committing his last 410,000 chips. The table folds around and Schmelev quickly calls.
