Katchalov Wins Multi-Way Pot and Busts Uchida

Uchida gone
Uchida gone

Shunjiro Uchida was all in preflop in the small blind while five other players put in multiple bets before the flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}. The first two players checked and then Phil Ivey checked. Eugene Katchalov was next and bet before Jason Mercier raised. The next player folded, the player after that called and then Ivey called. Katchalov called as well.

The turn brought the {8-Clubs} and all of the four remaining players checked. The river completed the board with the {8-Spades} and action checked to Katchalov. He bet and only Mercier called.

Katchalov tabled the {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for aces and eights to scoop the side pot as Mercier mucked. Uchida tabled the {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, but it was no good and he was eliminated from the tournament. Katchalov now has 42,000 chips.
