Dan Heimiller
Dan Heimiller

Dan Heimiller arrived a little while ago, taking a seat to Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy's right. Just now he was asking the table about the add-on chips. Heimiller recently played in Event No. 19 -- the $10,000 Deuce-to-Seven Draw Lowball championship -- which was also played using this rebuy-like format.

Here Heimiller was confused, because the add-on (2,000) is actually more than the starting stack (1,500), whereas in Event No. 19 the players began with 7,500 then had three 7,500 add-on chips.

Josephy offered to explain. "1,500 plus three 2,000 chips... that's 7,500," he said.

"You're right," smiled Heimiller.

"How do you win at poker, Dan?" cracked Josephy.

However he does it, Heimiller has done some winning today, pushing his stack to 7,000 while still having one of those add-on chips behind. Josephy meanwhile is sitting with 4,850 with no add-ons left.
