The announcer is reading the bios for all six players. Men Nguyen stopped to correct her that today will mark his 68th cash. Only Phil Hellmuth has more with 76 cashes.
Nguyen won a bracelet two weeks ago in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship, earning just under $400,000 for his seventh career bracelet. He'd love to be the first double bracelet winner of the series. A win would also put him in first place in the WSOP Player of the Year race. With a runner-up finish, he'd make it a three-way tie between himself, Michael Mizrachi, and James Dempsey.
We've never seen this one before. Organized by Men Nguyen's family, all six players gathered together for a group photo, mostly captured by their families' cell phone cameras. At first, Erick Lindgren seemed uninterested in getting in on the moment, but after a minute, he joined the Kodak moment.
Two hands after doubling Erick Lindgren, Taylor McFarland moved all in when it folded to him in the hijack. Mark Radoja called on the button with and had McFarland]s dominated. The board missed both players, and Radoja took the pot with his ace. "Good game guys," McFarland said on his way out.
"You're the best player I've played all tournament," acknowledged Lindgren.
With McFarland's exit, we're down to the official final table. The last six players remaining bagged up their chips and are currently moving to the main final table stage. They'll play out the remainder of the level before taking an hour-long dinner break.
Taylor McFarland raised to 60,000 on the button, and Erick Lindgren three-bet to 215,000 out of the small blind. McFarland shipped it in, and Lindgren called all in for 792,000. "Nice call," McFarland said to Lindgren, who has been his primary sparring partner all day.
It was Lindgren's against McFarland's . The board fell , and McFarland was suddenly down to just 115,000 while Lindgren was up to 1.6 million.
Erick Lindgren raised to 70,000 under the gun, and Taylor McFarland defended his big blind. The flop fell , and both player checked. After the turn, McFarland bet 105,000, and Lindgren folded.
