Eskeland Doubles, Criples Wice

No-Limit Hold'em

Nikolai Yakovenko had called from the cutoff only to have Sigurd Eskeland raise to 56,000 from the button and Alexander Wice re-raise to 170,000 from the blinds. Yakovenko got out of the way, but Eskeland four-bet to 946,000, putting himself all in.

Wice tanked for a while and asked to look at the payout or structure sheet before finally making the call.

Eskeland: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Wice: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Eskeland was way ahead with Wice needing to improve if he was to make the elimination. The flop of {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} kept Eskeland out ahead. The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and didn't change anything. The river brought the {6-Clubs} and Eskeland's kings held up.

Eskeland has now taken a huge chip lead and is sitting with 1,959,000 while Wice has been crippled to 53,000.
