Chan Trends Downwards

One of the first post-break hands was played between Terrence Chan and Mike Schneider. Chan opened pre-flop, then was the only player to call Schneider's three-bet. Chan checked and called a bet on the {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flop, then checked and called again on the {5-Spades} turn. When Schneider bet after Chan checked the {q-Hearts} river, Chan finally decided to fold.

Chan Rivers a Chop

Terrence Chan was out of position against the much shorter-stacked Brendan Taylor. Taylor bet every street of a {4-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} board. Chan checked and called each time, then tabled {a-Spades}{2-Hearts} at showdown. He had been behind Taylor's {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} the whole way but rivered a chop. That's how things have been going today for Taylor.

Back and Forth

Jonathan Little raised to 16,000 from the cutoff and Brian Tate reraised to 24,000 from the button. The blinds folded and Little made the call.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Little checked. Tate bet 8,000 and Little check-raised to 16,000. After Tate made the call the turn came the {A-Spades}. Little bet and Tate called. Little then checked the {Q-Spades} on the river and Tate bet. Little mucked and Tate added 68,000 to his stack.
