And So It Begins

A player in middle position made a standard opening raise, then Michael Woods reraised all in behind him. Chris Klodnicki was next to act, and after getting a count on Woods' raise -- about 12,000 -- Klodnicki said he was reraising over the top for his stack, too. The others, including the original raiser, folded, and the two remaining players showed their cards:

Woods {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Klodnicki {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The board came {3-Spades}{5-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{2-Spades}... {4-Hearts}. That river gave Woods a straight, and doubled him to about 25,000. Klodnicki's Day 2 starts unpleasantly, but he's still got about 24,000.
