EFro Takes a Step in the Right Direction
Reversing a bad run starts one hand at a time. Statistics haven't been kind to Eric Froehlich this summer, but there is still time to reverse his luck. The flop came out , and EFro checked. Alexander Kostritsyn potted, and after two players behind him folded, the action was back to Froehlich. He moved all in for slightly more, and Kostritsyn called.
Froehlich: for a set of ladies
Kostritsyn: for top pair, top kicker and a backdoor club draw
The on the turn had EFro wondering if this was going to be one more runner-runner elimination, but the river was safe. After the stacks were counted, he had Kostritsyn slightly covered. The Russian headed home while Froehlich is up to 26,000.
Edit: Oops. One step forward, two steps back. Froehlich is no longer with us.
