Tran Doubles Early

We arrived at Theo Tran's table to see him sitting in the big blind, involved in a pot against a player in middle position.

The flop we were looking at was {5-Clubs} {j-Clubs} {8-Clubs} and Tran's opponent had bet 1,500 into a large-sized pot. Tran throught for a moment and went all in for about 4,000, with his opponent calling:

Tran: {4-Clubs} {q-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Clubs} {j-Hearts}

Tran had made his flush, but his opponent was drawing to the nut flush. The turn was the {8-Spades} and Tran only had to sweat one more card, which he did when the river came {3-Diamonds} .
