Durrrr vs. Psyduck

The heads up match between Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Vivek "Psyduck" Rajkumar was nothing less than a classic. Here are three of their final hands.

Rajkumar held a slight chip advantage in the first hand, and after Dwan opened to 2,500 he three-bet to 8,200. Dwan called and the two saw a flop of {5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

Rajkumar led for 14,500 and after an epic staring match Dwan called.

"How much do you have? Rajkumar asked while the dealer burned and turned the {K-Hearts}.

"Forty-six (thousand)," Dwan answered.

Quickly, Rajkumar announced all-in and Dwan thought momentarily before calling. Rajkumar knew he was in trouble before the hands were even turned over:

Dwan: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Rajkumar: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The {4-Diamonds} spiked on the river, and Dwan took a commanding chip lead at about 140,000 to 10,000.

Rajkumar found a quick double though, getting it in with {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} against Dwan's {A-Clubs}{6-Spades}. The flop did bring an ace, the {A-Diamonds}, but there was also an eight; the {8-Clubs}. They were accompanied by the {K-Hearts} and then the {3-Spades} on the turn and the {4-Diamonds} on the river.

The stacks then looked like:

Dwan 127,000
Rajkumar 23,000

In the final hand, the board read {7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} when Dwan led for 2,300. Rajkumar called the turn brought the {3-Diamonds}.

Dwan studied Rajkumar for a moment before moving all-in. Rajkumar called, and it was a brilliant call because his {Q-Spades}{7-Hearts} was way ahead of Dwan's {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}.

Boom, {8-Hearts}.

Dwan and Rajkumar both laughed and then shook hands. The epic match was over, and Rajkumar was eliminated. Dwan quickly made sure he was set for Day 2, and quickly scurried off to play in Event #7: $2,500 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball.
