Let's Hear Some Chatter Out There

Raymond Davis just shot out of his chair and started doing some stretches behind his chair. He started jumping up and down in place, and he caught the eye of Jeffrey Lisandro at an adjacent table.

"Come on, Jeff!" Davis half-yelled. "You gotta win four this year." Lisandro barely looked up from the hand he was observing at his table. "If you don't win four this year," Davis continued, still jumping, "the Series is going to be a disappointment." A slight smirk from Lisandro. "If you don't get four, you gotta give me ten thousand," Davis finished the barrage. Lisandro, now wide-eyed, glanced at Davis and shook his head, returning to the hand in progress at his own table as Davis sat back down at his.

We walked a bit further to hear Allen Kessler getting a bit excited about a hand taking place on one of the final tables across the room. Kessler could see the action on the big screen, and he recounted it for his table. "King-queen-rag flop. One guy has ace-king, the other one flops a set of queens. How is nobody cheering over there?!" The table gave a bit of a shrug, and Kessler picked James Meehan to repeat the story to again. Meehan wasn't really paying attention. "I've seen so many flops, I don't really care any more." End of conversation.

In other table talk news, Justin "BoostedJ" Smith has parked himself in between Huck Seed and Eli Elezra at one of the near tables, and the three men have been engaged in a very animated conversation for about 15 minutes now.

Apart from those three bits of chatter, things are mostly quiet in our corner of the Amazon Room right now.
