OMG He's Out

Phil Galfond from yesterday's feature table
Phil Galfond from yesterday's feature table

Phil Galfond raised to 48,000 from under the gun. Action then folded around to Josue Sauvageau and he three-bet to 128,000. The button and blinds folded back over to Galfond and he went into the tank. His time in the tank was over 12 minutes, and that's no exaggeration. Galfond talked about how he wished that he knew more about live tells and what they meant. Eventually, Ronnie Bardah called the clock on calling the clock. He said that he would call the clock in one minute, leaving Galfond about two minutes to continue to tank. Galfond had no issue with this.

Finally, Galfond looked at the dealer and said, "All right, I'm all in." Sauvageau, who had buried his head down in his arms on the rail while Galfond tanked, rose up and looked puzzled. "I mean, this could be the sickest tank of all time if you have it. Why waste 10 minutes." He then made the call.

"Do you have tens?" Sauvageau asked Galfond.

"I've got worse than tens," responded Galfond.

Galfond opened up the {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Sauvageau the {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} to keep Sauvageau's jacks in front and send Galfond to the rail. Sauvageau moved his way to 2.7 million in chips.
