Parra vs. Pair

From middle position, Eduardo Parra raised to 265,000 to open the pot. Scott Clements three-bet to 580,000 on the button, and Parra came right back over the top with another raise -- 1.96 million straight. Clements was having none of it; he shoved all in, and Parra put his last 860,000 chips into the pot to put himself at risk. He was not in good shape.

It was an odd moment at the table as nobody really reacted to the showdown. Even the eye-opeing 
flop didn't coax much emotion from the players. They just sort of sat there watching the hand go by with relative disinterest. The 
river kept Clements safe, and the 
river was not the straight card Parra needed. Very quietly, he has been eliminated in 32nd place as the last Brazilian standing.
Three players quietly said, "Nice hand," to Clements after Parra's departure, and it's on to the next mouse-like hand over there.
