Final Two Tables Left In the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout
We have reached Day 3 and the final two tables here in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout.
Included in the stacked field field are four double bracelet winners including last year’s WSOP Player Of The Year Frank Kassela, Vitaly Lunkin, Eric Cajelais and former $2,000 Shootout Champion David “The Dragon” Pham. The field also includes last year’s $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Max Champ Dan Kelly who showed the most dominating performance at his table, finishing well before any of the others did. Other notables include Daniel Makwosky who has made three WSOP final tables, Lars Bonding who has made two WSOP Final Tables, and Jonathan Spinks who made a final table earlier this year in Seven Card Stud.
Until today, the format has been to play each table like a single table sit 'n' go, starting with nine on the first day and ten on the second day, each table playing down to a winner. Today, with our final 16, we will have two eight handed tables that will combine into a single table at the final 10. All players will start with 450,000 in chips and with a re-started structure unique to the day. Although there is a strict 10 level rule in place for all WSOP events this year, we are fairly confident that we will see a bracelet awarded today, and with this field, it is likely someone we have seen on the biggest stage in poker before.
