Fierrogottner Fighting

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Nicolas Fierrogottner wasn't to happy at conceeding that last pot to Scott Baumstein and consequently followed it with back-to-back blind and ante steals.

On the first hand, Fierrogottner opened to 90,000 to collect the pot before following it with a 95,000-chip raise.

The board came {9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and Tom Marchese was sent to the rail in 8th place.

Fierrogott-Cha

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Jeffrey Gross opened the cutoff with a raise to 80,000 with Tom Marchese smooth-calling from the button before Nicolas Fierrogottner three-bet to 230,000 from the small blind.

Gross passed, but Marchese made the call as the flop landed {7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and both players tapped the table. When the turn of the {A-Spades} landed, Fierrogottner pushed out 380,000 and Marchese made the call as the {j-Clubs} completed the board.

Fierrogottner announced a bet of 500,000 as Marchese went into the tank for not one, not two, not even three minutes. Falling just shy of seven minutes, Marchese eventually would make the call, only to muck when shown Fierrogottner's {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for two pair.

As Marchese slips to 530,000, Fierrogottner moves to 2,750,000 in chips.

Nikita Slipping

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Nikita Lebedev opened to 75,000 only to have Adam Junglen three-bet to 180,000 from two seats over.

Lebedev's early position raise couldn't handle the heat of the Junglen three-bet as the Russian's cards were angled to the muck as he slipped below the 900,000-chip mark.

Baumstein Scoops a Big Pot

Adam Junglen raised to 65,000 and was called by Scott Baumstein, Nicolas Fierrogottner, and finally Todd Terry from the big blind. The flop fell {3-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Terry checked to Junglen who fired out 160,000.

Baumstein made the call and the rest folded, making them heads up for the pot. The turn came {8-Clubs} and the action went check-check. The river fell {Q-Clubs} and Junglen led out for 200,000. Baumstein quickly raised to 425,000 and after some pondering, Junglen made the call only to see Baumstein turn over a winning {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

Aces Against Kings Ensure Baumstein Double

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Adam Junglen opened to 65,000 only to have Mark Radoja three-bet next to act to 170,000.

From the next seat over in the cutoff, Scott Baumstein pushed out a four-bet amounting to 395,000 as the action swiftly returned to Junglen.

He eyed up both player's chip stacks before announcing a raise to 3,000,000. Radoja kicked his cards to the muck, but Baumstein quickly re-checked his hand before announcing a call for his 1,630,000-chip stack.

Junglen: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Baumstein: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

With a cooler in progress, the board was spread {8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} to see Baumstein improve to a set while doubling through to 3,510,000 while Junglen slips to 2,425,000 in chips.

Gross Doubles Through Baumstein

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Jeffrey Gross managed to get his whole stack in the middle against Scott Baumstein preflop holding {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} against Baumstein's {A-Spades}{J-Spades}

The flop came down {10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Gross' aces were still good. The {2-Diamonds} turned, giving Baumstein chop outs, but his hopes for a chop were dashed when the {10-Clubs} hit the river. Gross is now sitting on about 2,500,000.
