Landfish Crushing

Steve Landfish raised from early position only to have Carlos Mortensen three-bet on the button. Landfish made the call and then check-called a bet on the {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop. Both players checked the {5-Clubs} turn, which was followed by the {6-Spades} on the river. This time Landfish led out and Mortensen made the call. Landfish showed {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} and it was good enough to take down the pot.

Just a couple of hands later, Landfish raised and ran into another three-bet, this time from a player in middle position. Landfish called and then check-raised a flop of {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. His opponent called and the {8-Diamonds} spiked on the turn. A series of raises resulted in the middle-position player being all in for his last 15,500 with Landfish making the call.

Landfish: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Landfish's flush was well out in front, and stayed there when the {J-Spades} blanked on the river. Landfish not only sent a player to the rail, he has managed to chip up to a respectable 170,000.
