Spelling Bee Champ Pratyush Buddiga Crippled

Former Scripps National Spelling Bee champion Pratyush Buddiga has taken a shining to poker of late, competing in many WSOP tournaments, but on this day he appears to be struggling.
We caught Buddiga involved in a hand after he had raised to 325 before the flop. An opponent in middle position reraised to 1,500 and Buddiga shoved all-in for his last 3,925. His opponent made the call and turned over 
, which put him in great shape against Buddiga's

and Buddiga's pair of nines was second best. He fell to just 725 after the lost and will have to recapture some of spelling bee magic if he hopes survive the Day 1 minefield.
