Men Nguyen (Event # 33) Not In The Best Of Moods Here On Day 1
Men Nguyen (Event # 33) Not In The Best Of Moods Here On Day 1

Passing by Men "The Master" Nguyen's table recently, we stumbled upon a heated discussion between the tournament veteran and another player. While outbursts of anger or arguments occassionally happen during any poker game, Nguyen seems to have an uncanny ability to place himself squarely in the middle of these types of controversies. Earlier in this year's WSOP, Nguyen was nearly assessed a penalty for verbally jousting with "Hollywood" Dave Stann over the former's alleged angle-shooting.

Today, we found Nguyen abusing a fellow player at his table over the issue of the button. Apparently the button was not moved to The Master in a timely fashion, and Nguyen responded by accosting the young player, who seemed to sincerely believe the button was on him. Nguyen began yelling at the player and the dealer alike, asking "You wanna bet? You wanna bet me on this right now?!" while the intimidated player pleaded his case.

When the mishap was finally sorted out, Nguyen asked the dealer "You think this my first tournament? Why you believe him and not me?" Before the dealer could answer, another player at the table shot Nguyen a glance and stated simply "Because we don't know him man. We know you, that's why we don't trust you."

We hope this is just a blip on the radar here on Day 1, but we will be sure to keep you updated on Men "The Master" Nguyen and his antics at the table.
