Akenhead Getting Shorter
Winner of he 2001 World Series of Poker Main Event Carlos Mortensen raised from early position to 1,000. The hijack seat flatted and then 2009 November Niner James Akenhead three-bet frm the button to 3,350. After the blinds folded, Mortensen and the hijack seat both called.
The three players saw the flop come with Mortensen up first. He led out with a bet of 3,350. The hijack seat folded, but Akenhead made the call, leaving himself with a little under 10,000 in chips.
After the fell on the turn, Mortensen almost immediately tossed out 10,000 in order to put Akenhead all in. Akenhead thought about it for few minutes, but then gave it up.
