Two Tables, Two Styles

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Matt Glantz and Dario Alioto were the first to notice the contrasting differences in playing styles between the players at the two tables.

At Alioto's table, the first player into the pot after the blinds is consistently opening with a raise. It also isn't uncommon to see a raise of the pot at any time during the hand, preflop or postflop.

At Glantz's table, limping into the pot preflop is not only occurring, but is becoming common. The pots are being played multi-way as they try to outplay each other postflop. Also, preflop raises are either a min-raise or just over a min-raise, allowing three-bets to get called and blinds to defend more often.
