Phil Hellmuth Gives 'Em Hell

Phil Hellmuth (Event # 33) Is Hoping Third Final Table Is In The Cards
Phil Hellmuth (Event # 33) Is Hoping Third Final Table Is In The Cards

We heard Phil Hellmuth beginning one of his signature lectures and passed by to see his {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} spread triumphantly in front of him. His entire stack was in the middle and the dealer was cutting enough chips from an opponent to double the Poker Brat up.

Apparently, a player in the small blind had moved in on Hellmuth with just {A-}{3-} and he woke up with pocket rockets. The final board showed {J-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Hellmuth's aces were best. As the pot was shipped his way, Hellmuth couldn't conceal his ear to ear grin and he began patting himself on the back.

"See, that's just what I do" he told the table, "I play super tight for two days, and then they move in on me when I have the aces."

He continued by reminding anybody within earshot, "I don't let people run me over."

With the way he has ran over the competition thus far during the 2011 WSOP, it is safe to say that the poker world now believes Hellmuth's boasts.
