A River!

Level 21

It took awhile, but we finally got to see a board. After three raise-and-take-its in a row, Matt Matros raised to 28,000 under the gun and actually got a call from Jonathan Lane in the big blind. Lane checked the {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop, and Matros bet 35,000. Lane called. The {a-Clubs} on the turn filled a flush draw, and both players declined to bluff at the pot. It went check-check again after the {10-Diamonds} river made even more draws. Lane turned over {j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for bottom pair, but Matros took the pot with {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

Conservative Start in the Thunderdome

Level 21

During the break the remaining players moved to the ESPN Feature stage, or the Thunderdome, and the opening hands of No Limit Hold'em have been very conservative. Six hands have been dealt and the players have seen two flops and only one turn.

Shake and Break

Level 20

Players are now on a 20-minute break. They are taking this opportunity to relocate the final table to the feature stage, aka the Thunderdome, now that the $5k Triple Chance final table has ended. Check out who won here.

Meyers Takes One from Losev

Level 20

Brandon Meyers raised, then called when Nikolay Losev three bet. The {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop got a check from Meyers and a bet from Losev. Meyers called to see the {6-Hearts} turn, then check-called again. The river was the {q-Hearts}, and after the third Broadway card, action went check-check. Meyers would have liked Losev to bet as he tabled {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for top two. He has 1.2 million while Losev is down to 300,000.

Hoss is King

Level 20

Matt "hoss_tbf" Hawrilenko opened, and Brandon Meyers reraised on the button. Nikolay Losev made it four bets from the small blind, and both opponents called, building a pot of 260,000 preflop.

Flop: {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} - Losev bet, and Hawrilenko raised. Two bets was enough to fold out Meyers, and Losev flatted.

Turn: {2-Diamonds} - Losev check-called a bet.

River: {a-Hearts} - Losev bet the scare card, and Hoss called the one bet on the end. Losev showed {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, but Hawrilenko's {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} were good for the sizable pot. He's up to 1.45 million, and Losev is down to 500,000.
