Jonathan Epstein Eliminated in 9th Place ($13,701)

The action folded around toMarsha Wolak, who moved all in from the button and Jonathan Epstein called all-in from the big blind. The rail jostled for position eagerly as the players went to showdown:

Wolak: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Epstein: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

There was no doubt as to who the crowd was rooting for as they chanted: “Beat the dude! Beat the dude!"

The flop was a dramatic one as it came down {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} to give Epstein straight and flush draws to go along with his ace. The {K-Hearts} on the turn took away his straight outs as another ten would now give Wolak a full house.

Epstein was down to a diamond or ace on the river to survive and double up but it came the {6-Hearts} and finally, he was eliminated. The rail erupted, cheering louder than every before and launched into a chorus of: “Na-na naaa na-na naaa na! Hey, hey, hey, goodbye!"

With the last remaining male player now gone, tournament director Robbie Thompson announced, "Finally, welcome to the Ladies Event!"
