In a hand that would cripple her, Kurita opened for 18,000 from middle position and action folded around to Amanda Baker, who tanked for a while but then announced she was all in for over 200,000. Kurita quickly called.

The {J-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} board improved Kurita to a set, but gave Baker the winning straight. After the hand, Kurita was down to her last 12,000.

Two hands later, Kurita went all in from under-the-gun and Kimberly Stahl raised to 22,000. Action folded around to Marina Kolbeshkina, who went all in for 103,000 from the small blind. Stahl reluctantly folded.
