Turker Finds Huge Double

Sean Getzweller can't stand to look!
Sean Getzweller can't stand to look!

Sadan Turker opened the button to 400,000 only to have Sean Getzwiller shove from the big blind. Turker made the call for his 4,905,000-chip stack.

Turker: {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Getzwiller: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {J-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Spades} to see Turker snag a huge double to nearly 10 million in chips as Getzwiller slips to just over 2.6 million.

Marathon Match Continues After Getzwiller Gets a Five

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante
Sean Getzweller Asks For a Five Before the Flop
Sean Getzweller Asks For a Five Before the Flop

After about ten consecutive hands in which the blinds and antes were captured by a single preflop raise, we suddenly saw both Sean Getzwiller and Sadan Turker stand and table their cards.

Getzwiller had open shoved from the button for approximately 4,000,000 chips and Turker instantly made the call with his {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. He found himself in great shape after Gitzwiller showed down the {A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and while there were definite chop possibilities, Turker had his sights set on a WSOP bracelet if he could dodge a five.

Gitzweller turned towards his rail and said "five coming" just as the dealer revealed the flop: {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Apparently Gitzwiller was channeling Kreskin because his prediction was right on the money. The five on the flop vaulted him into the lead and now it was Turker who was left hoping to spike his kicker.

Turn: {J-Clubs}
River: {3-Clubs}

With that, Getzwiller had doubled his stack to just over 9,000,000 chips and this see-saw battle continues to rage as we approach five hours of heads-up play.

Set of Sixes Sees Sadan Stay Alive

Sean Getzwiller limped the button only to have Sadan Turker move all in for an additional 3,925,000.

"I call" announced Getzwiller before adding, "I feel good about this one!"

Getzwiller: {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Turker: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

With Turker in the lead, the {5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop would leave him only needing to fade running cards or a flush or a straight, and when the {K-Clubs} landed on the turn, Turker would be assured the double.

As the meaningless {J-Hearts} fell on the river, Turker was already being pushed the 8,310,000-chip pot as Getzwiller slipped to 4,225,000 in chips.

Walk It Round

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

Sadan Turker received a walk directly after losing that pot, and the next hand saw Sean Getzwiller find a walk.

The third hand in a row would see another walk occur when Turker found one before he moved all in on the fourth hand to produce a fold from Getzwiller.

Back From Break, Getzwiller Gets His Double

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

After an opening bet by Sean Getzwiller, Sadan Turker three-bet for the rest of his chips and Getzwiller insta-called to put his tournament life at risk

Showdown:
Turker: {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Getzwiller: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}

Getzwiller was in front and needed to dodge jacks, tens or straight cards to double up and take the chip lead.

The flop of {5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} was a big swing and miss for Turker and he was down to six outs to win the bracelet.

Turn: {7-Clubs}
River: {7-Hearts}

Getzwiller's full house was good and he doubled his stack to over 9,000,000 chips, seizing the momentum in one of the first hands after returning to break. While his rail cheered in support, Getzwiller calmly brushed his shoulders off in jest, as if he knew he had it all along.
