Day 2 of Event 15; Tryba Leads Going In

Phil Ivey looking for second WSOP cash of 2012
Phil Ivey looking for second WSOP cash of 2012

We are moments away from cards being in the air for Day 2 of Event 15: $5,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split 8-or-Better. After eight levels of play yesterday, Chris Tryba emerged as the chip leader with a stack of 63,600. Hot on Tryba's heels was Brian Twete (54,800) and rounding out the top three was David Grey (54,700).

While some notable players hit the rail yesterday, there are still an enormous number of big name players in the field. Just a few of those returning to Day 2 are Huck Seed, Justin Bonomo, Cyndy Violette, Dan Shak, Todd Brunson, Barry Greenstein and ESPN's star commentator Norman Chad.

Players will be looking to make the money today, with the top 24 players in the field receiving that honor. A min-cash locks up $9,675 while the champion of this event will pocket a cool $269,037.

Phil Ivey will also be returning to the felt today with a solid stack of 40,100. Ivey managed to win his table in Event 14: $1,500 No-Limit Holdem Shootout, so he will be playing in both events today. Yesterday's win in Event 14 gave Ivey his first cash of the 2012 WSOP, and he will most certainly be in contention to earn his second today.

Follow along all day as we give you the latest updates from the felt. And if you need to brush up on Stud Hi-Low Split 8-or-Better rules, lingo or strategy, be sure to check out our rules page.
