Abdyl Konjuhi Eliminated in 6th Place ($87,231)

Adbel Konjuhi eliminated in 6th place
Adbel Konjuhi eliminated in 6th place

The action folded around to our chip leader Brent Hanks who was seated on the button, and he made the raise. Andrew Badecker folded in the small blind but Abdyl Konjuhi moved all-in from the big blind for around 500,000. Hanks called very quickly and when Konjuhi saw his hand he didn't like it one bit.

Hanks{A-Spades} {K-Clubs}
Konjuhi{A-Hearts} {2-Hearts}

So Konjuhi needed some low cards or hearts. The board ran out {9-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {6-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} and the necessary ingredients for a Konjuhi double up were missing, and he leaves us in 6th place. Hanks extends his lead at the top to 3,000,000.

Badecker Takes One From Selbst

In a button-big blind battle we saw Vanessa Selbst and Andrew Badecker battling it out. The flop read {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and Badecker check-raised the 80,000 bet to 225,000. Selbst tanked for a bit and called.

The river was the {J-Clubs} and again both players checked. Badecker showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and Selbst mucked her cards.

The flop was {J-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {8-Spades} and Selbst made a bet of 70,000. Hanks verbally announced a raise before making it 185,000 to play. Back to Selbst and she calmly riffled some chips before making the call. Selbst Battles Badecker

Andrew Badecker started off the action with an under the gun raise to 65,000 and it got folded to Vanessa Selbst who was in the small blind. Selbst counted out a raise and threw 165,000 into the pot. The action was back on Badecker after Hanks gave up his big blind and he made it 310,000. The pressure was back on Selbst who wasn't scared, she moved all in and got Badecker to fold.

This final table has some real super stars and there is a lot more of this pre flop action to come in the next couple of levels!
