From the hijack seat, Matt Lawrence raised to 600. Action folded to two-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Jason Mercier in the big blind and he three-bet to 1,725. Lawrence called and the flop came down {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Mercier fired 1,250 and Lawrence made the call.

Fourth street was the {4-Clubs} and paired the board. Mercier continued his aggression with a bet of 2,375. Lawrence got the count, then put in the chips to see the river.

The {J-Spades} completed the board and Mercier checked. Lawrence took a few seconds and then checked behind.

"King high," said Mercier.

Lawrence tabled the {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for aces and fours and won the pot. Mercier didn't show.

For those of you unfamiliar with Lawrence, he has two WSOP cashes on record and over $400,000 in live tournament earnings. The largest score of his career came from a second-place in the 2010 Venetian Deep Stack Main Event for $78,698. His second largest score came from a WSOP Circuit ring win in 2010 at Harrah's St. Louis for $36,115. Lawrence also placed ninth in the 2010-2011 WSOP Circuit National Championship for $30,000.
