Ramdin Chipping Up

Folded to Darin Thomas in the small blind, he put in the raise. Victor Ramdin made the call out of the big blind and the two players took to a {q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} flop. Thomas led here and a call from Ramdin would send a {a-Clubs} to the turn. This time when Thomas bet, Ramdin would raise. Thomas flicked in the call and a {k-Diamonds} completed the board.

Thomas again led with a bet and Ramdin made the call, turning over {q-Spades}{8-Hearts} for trip queens. That was enough to rake in the pot.

Brock Parker Eliminated in 5th Place ($27,986)

Brock Parker - 5th Place
Brock Parker - 5th Place

Brock Parker opened with a raise and Christopher Vitch three-bet. Brian Meinders called and Parker four-bet the rest of his stack all in. Both Vitch and Meinders called and we were off to the flop.

The dealer pounded the table and brought forth a flop of {3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. Vitch checked and Meinders bet out. Vitch opted to raise and Meinders called the bet. The {K-Diamonds} turned and Vitch bet once again. Meinders was the one to raise on this street and Vitch called.

The board was finished when the {10-Spades} struck table. Vitch checked and Meinders bet. Vitch was visibly upset at the river card but tossed in a call anyway. Meinders tabled {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for nines full of kings and Vitch mucked his hand.

Parker flipped up {Q-Hearts}{5-Spades} and made his way off of the Pavilion stage to collect his $27,986 in tournament winnings.

Vitch Takes Ramdin's Chips

Folded to Victor Ramdin on the button, he made a raise and Christopher Vitch called in the big blind. The {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop would see both players check as a {8-Hearts} landed on the turn. This time Vitch would lead out and Ramdin make it two bets to go. Vitch then quickly made it three bets to go and Ramdin called. The {4-Hearts} on the river and Vitch would lead out with another bet. Ramdin made the call and Vitch tabled his cards.

Vitch's {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} was strong enough for a full house and strong enough to take down the pot as Ramdin's cards went flying into the muck.

Thomas Takes One

Level 5 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Victor Ramdin was under the gun when he flicked out a raise. Only Darin Thomas wanted to come along for the ride as a {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop was dealt out. Thomas checked up front and Ramdin fired out a bet. A call from Thomas and a turn card would hit the felt.

Both players checked and the {5-Clubs} completed the board. This time Thomas would lead out with a bet and Ramdin would take a few moments before sending his cards into the muck and the pot to Thomas.

Ramdin's Aggression Takes It

Victor Ramdin raised before the flop and was called by Brian Meinders. Darin Thomas three-bet only to find Ramdin four-bet the action. Both of Ramdin's opponents called and we were three-handed to a flop of {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

Both checked to Ramdin who bet out. Ramdin received two calls and the three saw the {5-Spades} come on the turn. Once again it was checked to Ramdin who bet out. Meinders called but Thomas opted to muck his cards. The River brought the {2-Diamonds} and Meinders checked for a third time to Ramdin who bet for a third time. Meinders mucked his hand and Ramdin's constant aggression awarded him the pot.

Preston Derden Eliminated in 6th Place ($20,886)

Preston Derden - 6th Place
Preston Derden - 6th Place

"C'mon now Bruce," said Preston Derden to the dealer when he had a portion of his tiny stack already committed in the big blind.

In the hand in question, Victor Ramdin opened it up with a raise from under the gun. Brock Parker then three-bet on his direct left and it was on Brian Meinders on the button. He opted to four-bet and Derden quickly tumbled in his last chips (a total of 20,000). Ramdin then got out of the way and Parker made the call.

Derden was on his feet and watched as the dealer spread out a {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} board. On the flop Parker check-called a bet from Meinders and both players checked the turn. The river saw Parker lead and Meinders raise. Parker called and the three players turned their hands over.

Meinders: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Parker: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Derden: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Derden paired his nine on the flop, but it wasn't strong enough for either Parker or Meinder's holdings. In the end, Meinders raked in the pot and Derden shook all the hands at the table and made his way out of the tournament in a gallant 6th place.

Back to Play

Level 5 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

The players are back in their seats and ready for me. Preston Derden is extremely short stacked at this point, so expect him to get the remainder of his chips in very soon.
