Loube Doubles Through Cousineau

Steven Loube raised to 105,000 under the gun and Roch Cousineau defended from the big blind. The latter proceeded to check the {9-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop, opening the door for Loube to bet 125,000. Cousineau woke up with a check-raise to 275,000, and then checked the {8-Hearts} turn after Loube made the call.

The 34-year-old professional injury attorney bet his last 375,000, putting the pressure on Cousineau. "You going to show me?" Cousineau asked.

Loube shook his head no at first, but then added, "I don't know, maybe." Cousineau thought for a solid two minutes before making the call.

"I've got it," Loube said and slapped down the {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{J-Spades}. While he had the goods at the time, Cousineau held {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{6-Spades} and could still win the pot if the board paired on the river. "Yes," Loube screamed when the {3-Clubs} appeared, giving him the double and the chip lead.
