Julius didn't have much, just an over and a gut-shot straight draw, but the latter was taken away when the turned. Julius needed either another eight or an ace on the river to eliminate Vilandos, but it was not meant to be as the peeled off.
For those who don't know, Vilandos has more than $1.4 million in WSOP earning, including two bracelets. The first came all the way back in Event #10 $1,500 Pot-Limit Holdem at the 1995 WSOP for $148,500, while the second came more recently in Event #24 $1,500 No-Limit Holdem at the 2009 WSOP for $607,256.
