Athanasios Polychronopoulos won this very event last year and has managed to outlast about 2,500 competitors again this year.
We caught up with Polychronopoulous looking down at a board of 
. His opponent checked and Polychronopoulous moved 3,375 into the middle. What he was not expecting was that his opponent would check-raise and it suddenly was 6,900 back to him. Polychronopoulous mucked his hand and the pot was awarded to his opponent.
