Owen Crowe Eliminated by Brett Shaffer
We are midway through level fourteen and we have squeezed the field down to one hundred and twenty four players. One of the casualties of poker warfare has been Owen Crowe. Crowe has come so close to earning himself a gold bracelet, on several occasions, but today is not his day.
We didn't see his exit but the table have told us that the action folded around to Crowe in the cutoff, and he moved all-in for around 16BB holding suited and Brett Shaffer called holding pocket tens.
Shaffer, who also has WSOP final table experience, then went from being up to being down when he ran pocket nines into pocket queens, and his opponent hit quads to reduce Shaffer to around 20,000.
