Big River Raise from Hellmuth

Level 19 : 200,000/400,000, 50,000 ante

Hand #12: Sam Trickett had the button.

Phil Hellmuth raised to 900,000 from middle position and David Einhorn called from the big blind and the flop came down {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and both players checked again to see the {K-Clubs} land on the river. Einhorn led for 1.5 million and Hellmuth fired back with a raise to seven million straight.

Einhorn stood up and tanked, requesting a count on the raise, which was broken down to exactly what was announced, seven million. Hellmuth sat in his patented pose, hands cupped over his mouth, hat tightly snug on his head and didn't flinch. After a minute or more longer, Einhorn folded and Hellmuth raked in the pot.

Laliberté Shoves On Esfandiari

Level 19 : 200,000/400,000, 50,000 ante

Hand #11: Bobby Baldwin had the button and Guy Laliberté raised to 950,000 from early position. Antonio Esfandiari reraised to 2.3 million from the cutoff seat. Action folded back to Laliberté and he called.

The flop came down {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Laliberté was first up. He checked and Esfandiari bet 2.125 million. Laliberté check-raised all in quite quickly for 17.4 million total.

Laliberté stared straight at Esfandiari while he tanked. At one point, Esfandiari tried to chat up Laliberté, but he didn't seem to respond. Laliberté then reached and put on a blue clown nose as a joke. The two got a laugh and then Esfandiari folded.

Hand #8: The button was on Brian Rast in Seat 2. Bobby Baldwin raised to 1.1 million from under the gun. Everyone folded and he won the pot.

Hand #9: Phil Hellmuth had the button. Action moved to Richard Yong in early position and he raised to 800,000. Brian Rast reraised all in for 8.525 million from the cutoff seat and play folded back to Yong. He quickly gave it up and Rast won the pot.

Hand #10: Antonio Esfandiari started this hand with the button.

David Einhorn raised from early position to 800,000. Esfandiari called and the flop came down {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Einhorn bet 1.2 million and Esfandiari called to see the turn.

The {10-Hearts} landed on the turn and Einhorn was first up again. He checked and Esfandiari checked behind.

The {3-Spades} completed the board on the river and Einhorn checked with a visible swallow in his throat. Esfandiari checked behind.

Einhorn mucked his hand right away and due to World Series of Poker rules, Esfandiari had to show. He showed the {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and won the pot.

Hand #5: Richard Yong had the button. Action folded to Sam Trickett in the cutoff seat and he raised to 800,000. Everyone folded and Trickett won the pot.

Hand #6: David Einhorn had the button on the start of this hand. From early position, Antonio Esfandiari raised to 950,000. Action folded to Brian Rast in the big blind and he made the call.

The flop came down {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Rast checked. Esfandiari bet 1.225 million and Rast folded.

Hand #7: Guy Laliberté started this hand with the button. Esfandiari raised to 900,000 from under the gun and play folded to David Einhorn in the cutoff seat. He raised all in for 7.525 million. Play folded back to Esfandiari and he made the quick call.

Esfandiari showed the {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, but his huge pair was behind the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} for Einhorn.

The flop came down {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Esfandiari was still behind Einhorn's aces. The turn brought the {10-Clubs} and now Einhorn just needed to dodge a king on the river.

The {3-Clubs} fell on fifth street and Einhorn sat back down in his chair to collect his double up.
