Byrraju Takes Seat Next to Bracelet Winner Selbst
Players at Table 1 in the Gold section are currently quizzing Vanessa Selbst about her win yesterday in Event 52: $2,500 10-Game Mix Six-Handed. Selbst secured her second WSOP bracelet with the victory, her first having come in 2008 in a $1,500 pot-limit Omaha event.
"Badugi and deuce I'd been playing about a day," answered Selbst when asked about her experience with the 10 games required by the event. "But the rest I've played for years."
Meanwhile, sitting quietly to Selbst's right is Rahul Byrraju who had just been moved to Table 1. He's not saying much, but he's gotten a lot of attention, anyway, thanks to the multiple racks of chips he's brought over. Byrraju has accumulated more than 100,000 — the first in the room we've seen thus far to do so.
No doubt Selbst will be attempting to use those years of NLHE experience — plus the more recent one of going the distance to win another WSOP bracelet last night — to do what she can to move some of Byrraju's chips her way.
