Deeb Ousts Cloutier

Freddy Deeb had just opened a hand, then folded to an Eric Legoff reraise, leaving himself with just about 100,000. "I'll wait for something better," he said when letting his hand go.

On the very next hand, Deeb was open-raising all in, and it folded all of the way back around to Eric Cloutier in the big blind. He checked his cards, then said he was calling. Cloutier had actually slipped below 100,000 before the hand, and so he was the one at risk.

Cloutier had {A-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Deeb {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. The cameras came over, and as the hands were moved over to the center of the table, Cloutier jokingly asked "You have the queens, right?" "We'll see what comes on the flop," answered Deeb. "Then you can decide which hand you want."

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Spades}, and it turned out queens was the hand to have. Cloutier shook hands with Deeb and departed.

"That was a good fold," said Roland Israelashvili afterwards, referring to the previous hand, and Deeb agreed.
