Van Zadelhoff Takes Advantage

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

1,725 in this level with no showdown...

An older gentleman just limped in for 50 from early-mid position. Steven van Zadelhoff in the small blind made it 200 to go and the big blind made the call. The limper didn't have two 100 chips and pushed a 500 and 100 in at the same time. This 600 total was declared a raise, although Sam Ravazi seat at the table called over the floor because he had seen a similar situation in The Venetian where it was declared a call. In the mean time the limper stated twice that it was an honest mistake. The The floor made the ruling that it in fact was a raise to 600 and Van Zadelhoff made it 1,525 to go. The big blind folded and the limper made the call with just 1,150 behind.

Steven pushed allin on {2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} and the preflop limper immediately folded. Steven van Zadelhoff picked up 1,725 without going to showdown. Sam Razavi told the players at the table (and in particular Marco Traniello) that he had tweeted Matt Savage recently and that the WPT Tournament Director said this was a call, if no "raise" was announced.

Sam RazaviHow wonderfully ironic given what I've just been tweeting about. Old guy at table limps, guy raises, old guy accidentally puts in a reraise-
Sam Razavi-it's unclear whether he's actually raised or call given the chip denominations. Everyone demands he's raised, I argue his case and call -

Sam Razavi- for the floor. DEALER says: "You know what, you're not even in the hand. Keep out of it". Very professional indeed #WSOP
