Hands 101-102

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Hand #101: James Park raised to 50,000 under the gun. Noah Schwartz called from the button, as did KT Park in the big blind. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and KT checked. James bet 110,000, and Schwartz and KT folded.

Hand #102: Schwartz raised to 60,000 from the cutoff, and Shawn Silber three-bet to 175,000. The blinds got out of the way, and Schwartz did so as well.

Hand #100 Doesn't Amount to Much

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Hand #96: Josh Pollock raised the button to 50,000 and Shawn Silber called from the big blind. Both players checked the {j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} flop, the {2-Spades} turned and both players checked for a second time. The {7-Spades} river saw Silber bet 70,000 and Pollock called. Silber tabled the {a-Spades}{4-Spades}{j-}{x-} for an ace-high flush and it was good.

Hand #97: Josh Pollock raised to 50,000 and Noah Schwartz called from the button. The blinds folded, the flop fell {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Spades} and both players checked. The {2-Diamonds} turn saw both players check for a second time, and Pollock ended up check-folding to a bet of 125,000 on the {10-Hearts} river.

Hand #98: Shawn Silber limped from the button, James Park checked his option from the big and the flop fell {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Park checked and then folded when Silber bet 57,000.

Hand #99: Shawn Silber raised from the cutoff and took down the blinds.

Hand #100: Noah Schwartz limped from the small blind and Shawn Silber checked his option from the big. Silber then called a bet of 26,000 on the {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop and the {J-Clubs} turned. Schwartz fired out 80,000, Silber called and the {J-Spades} completed the board on the river. This time Schwartz slowed down with a check and Silber did the same. Silber tabled {8-}{q-}{9-}{x-} for a straight and it was good as Schwartz sent his cards to the muck.

Eric Shanks Eliminated in 6th Place ($43,460)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Eric Shanks - 6th Place.
Eric Shanks - 6th Place.

Hand #92: Noah Schwartz and Shawn Silber checked a {j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop, and the turn was {8-Hearts}. Schwartz bet 65,000, and Silber called. The river was {a-Clubs}, and both players checked. Schwartz showed {a-}{2-}{3-}{5-} to take the pot.

Hand #93: Josh Pollock raised to 50,000. He took the pot.

Hand #94: James Park raised to 50,000 from the button, and Pollock called from the big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and both players checked. A {9-Spades} put trips on the board, and two more checks resulted. The river was a {2-Hearts}, and Pollock bet out 50,000. Park called. Pollock's {3-}{3-} in the hole was good.

Hand #95: Eric Shanks raised to 50,000 from the button, and Pollock made it 162,000 from the small blind. Shanks repotted to go all in, and Pollock called.

Shanks: {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Pollock: {8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

A flop of {6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} gave Pollock hope despite being far behind preflop. A {9-Spades} turn gave him a flush, and a {6-Clubs} river finished out the board.

Eddie Blumenthal Eliminated in 7th Place ($33,057)

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Eddie Blumenthal - 7th Place
Eddie Blumenthal - 7th Place

Hand #90: Noah Schwartz opened for 65,000 from the small blind and Shawn Silber folded from the big.

Hand #91: Eddie Blumenthal raised the pot to 84,000 from the cutoff only to have Noah Schwartz reraise to 250,000 from the button. Blumenthal made the call and then moved all in on the {6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop. Schwartz made a quick call and the hands were tabled.

Blumenthal: {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Schwartz: {4-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Schwartz was well out in front with his pair of aces; in fact, after the dealer burned and turned the {5-Clubs}, Blumenthal needed a ten on the river to survive. Unfortunately for the Wisconsinite, it wasn't in the cards as the {K-Diamonds} blanked. This marked the second seventh-place finish for Blumenthal at the 2013 WSOP, the other coming in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event.

Blumenthal Folds the River in Large Pot

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Hand #86: Shawn Silber raised to 55,000 from the cutoff and took down the blinds.

Hand #87: A raise took down the pot.

Hand #88: Silber raised to 55,000, and Eddie Blumenthal called from the big blind. A {9-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts} resulted in two checks. A {7-Clubs} hit the turn, and Blumenthal checked. Silber bet 80,000 and took the pot.

Hand #89: Josh Pollock raised to 50,000, and Eddie Blumenthal and Noah Schwartz called from the blinds. The flop came {3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{a-Spades}, and everyone checked. A {j-Diamonds} turned, and Blumenthal bet 93,000. Schwartz slid out two stacks of chips and a baby stack on top: 281,000. Pollock folded. After a long tank, Blumenthal called. A {9-Spades} fell on the river, and Blumenthal checked, and Schwartz fired a final bullet of 200,000. Blumenthal folded, and Schwartz scooped the large pot.

Hands 81-85

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Hand #81: James Park raised to 48,000, and Eddie Blumenthal made the call from the big blind. Both players checked the {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, and an {a-Clubs} turned. Again, both players checked. The river was the {10-Diamonds}, and Blumenthal came out with 69,000, which Park called. Blumenthal's {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{x-} was good for top two pair, and he took the pot.

Hand #82: Shawn Silber called under the gun, and Park bumped it to 75,000. Silber called. The flop came {q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, and Silber checked to the raiser. Park bet the pot, 186,000. Silber folded.

Hand #83: Josh Pollock raised to 50,000 and everyone else folded.

Hand #84: Pollock again raised to 50,000, and this time found a caller in Silber, the small blind. Silber checked the {6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop, and he folded to a 55,000 bet from Pollock.

Hand #85: Noah Schwartz raised to 55,000 and nobody called him.

Last Hands of Level 21

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Hand #78: On a flop of {2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, KT Park checked and James Park bet 20,000. Another player folded in between before KT made the call, brining about the {6-Spades} on the turn. Both players checked to see the {A-Diamonds} river, and again they both checked. KT showed {k-}{q-}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for kings and sixes, which was good enough to win the pot.

Hand #79: Eddie Blumenthal raised to 40,000 from early position and Noah Schwartz called right behind. The rest of the field folded, the flop fell {j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Blumenthal checked. Schwartz bet 65,000 and Blumenthal released.

Hand #80: Noah Schwartz made it 50,000 to go and Josh Pollock defended from the big. The {4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop saw both player checks and the {2-Hearts} appear on the turn. Pollock bet 75,000, Schwartz called and the {9-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Pollock fired out 115,000 and Schwartz called. Pollock tabled the {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} for trips and it was good as Schwartz mucked.
