George Back Over One Million

Level 22

Jonathan Duhamel raised from the cutoff and received a call from Christopher George in the big blind. The flop came {k-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and George checked. Duhamel continued out only to find George come over the top with a raise. Duhamel called and the {3-Clubs} hit the turn. George led out but Duhamel stayed the course.

Fifth street was the {J-Diamonds} and the action went check-check, prompting George to table {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Clubs} for top two pair. Duhamel mucked and George picked up the pot.

Kargen Quarters Hanson

Level 22
Arthur Kargen
Arthur Kargen

Arthur Kargen raised from early position and received calls from Danny Fuhs and Bart Hanson. The three took a flop of {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Hanson checked. Kargen fired a bet and Fuhs folded. Hanson stuck around.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and Hanson checked a second time. Kargen shot out a bet and Hanson called to see the {9-Spades} finish off the board. Hanson checked a third time, Kargen bet a a third time, and Hanson called it again.

Kargen showed {A-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for an ace-trey low and two pair for his high. Hanson showed {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for the same low and a worse high, meaning he would received one quarter of the pot. Kargen took three quarters and now has about 485,000.

Full House for Mizrachi

Level 22

Robert Mizrachi opened from middle position and received a call from Christopher George in the cutoff. The flop brought down {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and both players checked to see the {7-Hearts} hit the turn. Mizrachi led out and George called. The {3-Spades} finished the board and Mizrachi led out for a second time. George called once more then mucked his hand after Mizrachi showed {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for kings full of treys.

Mike Matusow - 10th Place

Picking up with the action on the turn, the board read {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Viacheslav Zhukov led out with a bet and Mike Matusow flat called. The {4-Clubs} finished off the board and Zhukov bet once more. Matusow called off his last 3,000 and Zhukov rolled over {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Matusow mucked his hand before our live reporter could see it. He was eliminated from play in 10th place and his elimination has spawned a total re-draw to the unofficial final table of ten.

Julie Schneider Eliminated in 12th Place ($19,788)

Level 22
Julie Schneider - 12th Place
Julie Schneider - 12th Place

Brian Hastings opened with a raise from the cutoff and found a three-bet from Julie Schneider from the small blind. Action came back to Hastings and he flat called.

The flop {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Schneider moved all in.

"That's a really good flop for me," said Hastings, who dropped in a call.

At that, Schneider fanned {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Clubs} for top set. The table shared a good laugh as Hastings showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and needed to catch up to eliminate Schneider.

Hastings did exactly that as the {j-Diamonds} ripped off on the turn to give him Broadway. The river was the {7-Hearts} and Schneider saw her exit in 12th place. She will collect $19,788 in tournament winnings.
