Final 10

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

We have reached the unofficial final table and are redrawing for seats. We will have new seat assignments and chip counts for you shortly.

Jerry Jackson Eliminated in 11th Place ($40,694)

We came to the action with a {6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop on the board and a 69,000 bet from Kenneth Lind in middle position. Dana Ott, the small blind, called Lind's bet and Jerry Jackson moved all in for an additional 215,000 from the big blind.

Lind cut out his chips for the call and pushed them forward and Ott followed by a call. At that point Lind said he hadn't actually called yet but the tournament director ruled his chips were in front of the cards and it was a call.

The {a-Clubs} turn was dealt and Ott immediately moved all in for 506,000. After cutting out his chips, well behind his cards this time, Lind decided to fold and Ott turned up {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a set. Jackson held {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for a pair and a straight draw. The {a-Spades} river filled Ott up and eliminated Jackson from the tourament.

Steven Albini Eliminated in 12th Place ($40,694)

Steve Albini

Steven Albini said "that isn't good" when his all in was called by John Holley. Albini held {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Holley {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Another player said he folded an ace, but Albini's son called for one anyway.

Seeing as it's Father's Day, the dealer obliged by dealing {k-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Spades} on the flop. Albini's top pair wouldn't last through the {j-Spades} turn and {9-Spades} though, giving Holley the flush and eliminating Albini from the tournament.

Jim Downend - 13th Place

Jim Downend got it all in preflop with big slick, but his {A-}{K-} lost the race against James Miller's {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

The final board ran out {2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}, and with no pair, Downend's run at the Senior Championship came to an end. His 13th place finish earned him more a return of over thirty times his investment, however, along with memories to last a lifetime.

James McClendon - 14th Place

The last of James McClendon's short stack was wagered on the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, but he was dominated when Dana Ott tabled the {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

With Ott's supporters on the rail calling for a jack to end it, the dealer delivered on the {j-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. The {6-Clubs} ended things on the turn, and the {A-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

McClendon fell short of the final table, but he pockets more than $30,000 for his deep run here at the Seniors Championship.

Michael Thorpe Eliminated in 15th Place ($31,809)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Michael Thorpe - 15th Place
Michael Thorpe - 15th Place

After losing a big pot when his {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} failed to catch up to Jack Ward's {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}, Michael Thorpe open-shoved for his last 195,000 or so holding the {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

He was happy to find that his cards were live against the {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} tabled by Randolph Spain, but the final board of {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts} brought him no help, and he was shaking hands by the turn.

Spain moved above the million chip milestone, while Thorpe was left to accept heartfelt "good game" congratulations from each and every one of his former tablemates.

Kimberley Kilroy moved all in with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and after some thought was called by Stephen Lutz holding {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Lutz had Kilroy covered and a classic race was underway.

Kilroy survived the {4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop and {3-Hearts} turn but the {k-Spades} river gave Lutz the winning hand, eliminating Kilroy from the tournament. Kilroy became the last woman standing when Cynthia Foster was eliminated from the tournament in 44th place.

We came to the table after Barry Bashist announced "all in" following a raise by George Wright. Wright, having just folded a "big hand" prior to this, called for less.

George Wright: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Barry Bashist: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} board was dealt and Bashist's aces held up eliminating Wright from the tournament.
