A player opened in early position, 2005 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion Joe Hachem re-raised the pot on his direct left, and the action folded back to the player who moved all in for around 5,000 or so. Hachem instantly called.

Hachem: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

The {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop didn't improve either hand, but the {k-Spades} on the turn gave Hachem's opponent a gut-shot straight draw. Only a jack would keep the player alive, and the river was indeed a jack - the {j-Hearts}.

It took everyone at the table, including Hachem, a brief second to realize what happened.

"This game is crazy," one player finally said, prompting Hachem to let out a laugh.
