Three of Six for Wiese

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Hand #86: Daniel Alaei limped in from the cutoff, James Wiese checked in the big blind, and the flop fell {7-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. Wiese checked, Alaei fired out 75,000, and Wiese called. Turn was the {k-Spades}, both checked. And the two knuckled when the {7-Hearts} completed the board. Wiese took the pot with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{x-} for trip aces.

Hand #87: Alaei limped in from the hijack seat, Sean Dempsey checked in the big blind, and the flop came {9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Dempsey checked-folded to a bet of 75,000.

Hand #88: Wiese raised to 150,000 on the button, Dempsey called out of the small blind, and the dealer fanned {2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Dempsey checked, Wiese fired out 200,000, and Dempsey folded.

Hand #89: Wiese raised to 150,000 in the cutoff, winning the blinds.

Hand #90: Alaei received a walk.

First Five Hands of Level 27

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Players are back in their seats and Level 27 is underway. The plan will be to play three more one-hour levels tonight, and if the tourney has yet to complete the survivors will be returning on Tuesday to play a Day 4, thus giving them a chance to play in the last Day 1 flight of the Main Event tomorrow.

Hand #81: In the first hand of the level, Daniel Alaei limped from middle position and it folded around to Gjergj Sinishtaj who checked from the big blind. They checked down the {5-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, {6-Diamonds} turn, and {A-Clubs} river, and when {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Hand #82: On the next hand, Alaei raised to 130,000 from under the gun and won the blinds.

Hand #83: It folded to Sinishtaj who raised to 125,000 from the button, and when Numit Agrawal reraised the pot to 440,000 from the small blind, both Alaei in the big blind and Sinishtaj folded.

Hand #84: Chip leader Jared Bleznick enjoyed a walk in the big blind.

Hand #85: James Wiese raised to 125,000 from UTG and got one caller in Jared Bleznick in the small blind. The flop came {9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{A-Spades}, and Bleznick check-called Wiese's bet of 175,000. The turn was the {K-Diamonds} and Bleznick checked again. Wiese bet 375,000 this time, and Bleznick called once more.

The river was the {6-Clubs} and both checked. Bleznick tabled {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, and that was good enough as Wiese mucked.

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Hand #79: Jared Bleznick limped in on the button, Tom Marchese completed from the small blind, James Wiese checked in the big blind, and the flop came down {4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}. Both blinds checked, and Bleznick won with a bet of 110,000.

Hand #80: Daniel Alaei raised to 100,000 in the hijack seat, Sean Dempsey defended his big blind, and the flop came {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Dempsey led out for 110,000, Alaei called, and both players checked when the {8-Diamonds} turned. They knuckled again as the {3-Spades} completed the board, and Alaei won with {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for a straight.

Hands #75-#78

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Hand #75: Gjergj Sinishtaj raised to 125,000 from the small blind and won the hand.

Hand #76: Sinishtaj raised to 110,000 from the button and both blinds — Numit Agrawal and Daniel Alaei — called.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and all checked. The turn was the {8-Hearts}. Agrawal led for 200,000 this time, and only Alaei called. The river was the {3-Hearts}, and Agrawal check-folded to Alaei's nearly pot-sized bet.

Hand #77: Tom Marchese raised from under the gun and got one caller in Jared Bleznick from the big blind. Both checked the {6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop. Bleznick bet 150,000 after the {8-Hearts} and Marchese called. The river brought the {3-Clubs} and when Bleznick bet 100,000, Marchese folded.

Hand #78: Sean Dempsey bet 125,000 from middle position and won the blinds.

Rory Rees Brennan Eliminated in 8th Place ($88,061)

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Rory Rees Brennan - 8th Place
Rory Rees Brennan - 8th Place

Hand #74: Rory Rees Brennan open-shoved for 90,000 in early position, Jared Bleznick three-bet to 200,000 in the hijack, and everyone else folded.

Brennan: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Bleznick: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

The dealer fanned {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, prompting the Irish rail to cheer loudly. Brennan had flopped a gut-shot straight flush draw, and any diamond or five would keep him alive, as would a ten. The {q-Spades} on the turn was a brick, however, and also took away the two tens as outs for him. The {4-Hearts} on the river was no good for Brennan, either, and he exited in eighth place, earning $88,061.

Two Big Doubles Catapult Agrawal, Bleznick

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Hand #72: Numit Agrawal raised to 175,000, then Rory Rees Brennan repotted from the cutoff seat. It folded back to Agrawal who called all in.

Agrawal: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Brennan: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The flop came {3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, then the {Q-Clubs} on the turn improved Agrawal to two pair. The {10-Clubs} fell on the river, and Agrawal earned a double while Brennan was knocked down to less than 100,000.

Hand #73: Daniel Alaei raised to 115,000 and both Jared Bleznick (cutoff) and Sean Dempsey (big blind) checked. The flop came {4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. It checked to Alaei who bet 205,000, then Bleznick raised all in for just over 1 million. Dempsey got out and Alaei called.

Alaei: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Bleznick: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

Bleznick had the lead with his kings, and after the {Q-Diamonds} turn and {5-Spades} river he'd improved further to a straight to earn a big double back from Alaei.

Brennan Doubles Again

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Rory Rees Brennan
Rory Rees Brennan

Hand #68: James Wiese raised to 125,000, and received no callers.

Hand #69: Tom Marchese raised to 100,000 in middle position, and won the pot.

Hand #70: Numit Agrawal raised to 175,000 on the button, and both blinds released.

Hand #71: Wiese raised to 125,000 in early position, Rory Rees Brennan moved all in for 345,000 on the button, and Wiese called.

Wiese: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Brennan: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

The dealer spread {2-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, which was an awful flop for Brennan. The Irishman stood up, shrugging defeatedly. The turn was the {a-Clubs}, giving him a few outs to catch up, and the {5-Diamonds} on the river was one of them, giving him the wheel.

The Irish in the rail cheered loudly, as Brennan retook his seat.
