Mizrachi's Aces Get Cracked

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

Michael Mizrachi

Michael Mizrachi raised it up under the gun to 1,350, and Daniel Hicks made the call on the button. Jonathan Farber was in the big blind, and he looked like he wanted to make a raise, as he tossed out an orange T5,000 chip in on top of his big blind without saying anything. The floor was called over, and it was determined that it was indeed just a call.

The flop came down {9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}, and Farber led out for 2,000. Mizrachi quickly tossed out an orange chip and announced "5,000", making it a raise, and Hicks hardly wasted anytime with reraising to 15,000. Farber tanked for about 45 seconds before regretably folding, and Mizrachi quickly grabbed chips for another reraise, and toss 25,000 in. Hicks moved all in for 56,475 total, and Mizrach quickly called, asking Hicks "do you have a set?"

Hicks: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Mizrachi: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Hicks had caught up with the aces of Mizrachi, and the board brought no re-suckout, as the {4-Diamonds} hit the turn, and the {6-Spades} came on the river. Farber made it sound like he would have made a winning hand on the river. Regardless, Mizrachi shipped the double up over to Hicks, dropping him to 142,000 in the process.
