Mueller Checks Ovseyevitz into the Boards

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Greg Mueller

Former pro hockey player and two-time WSOP bracelet winner Greg Mueller just moved into the Amazon Room, and it didn't take long for him to get involved in a big pot. Mueller raised to 5,000 preflop from middle position and Max Ovseyevitz three-bet to 15,300 from the small blind. Mueller called, and the dealer rolled out a {Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs} flop. Mueller quickly checked and Ovseyevitz fired 13,500 into the pot. Mueller cut out enough for a call, and then grabbed an additional 19,600 for a raise, and pushed the total amount into the pot. Ovseyevitz called.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and Mueller continued his aggression by betting 40,000. Ovseyevitz went into the tank for a few minutes, leaning back in his seat several times, before eventually giving up his hand.

"You wanna see one or no," Mueller asked his defeated opponent. "You pick one." With the ESPN cameras rolling, Ovseyevitz picked a card and Mueller flipped over the {7-Diamonds} — good enough to increase his stack above the 200,000 mark.
